DENISE CHAILA DUEL CITIZENSHIP - MUSIC VIDEO

I wanted to create a visual of the struggle of constantly being asked where you are from, the dance you do to prove your Irishness and the frustration that it’s never accepted. That if you repeatedly consumed yourself in Ireland it would never be enough. You could literally bleed green and it wouldn’t be enough because you don’t look Irish.

Dated views on what an Irish person looks or sounds like is something that needs to change.
@denisechaila song duel citizenship comes from a place I know too well and her allowing us to use her music to accompany this visual was amazing.

The movement and journey portrayed by
@andreawilliams.dancer is beautiful and moved me to tears my first watch.

Thank you
@tallerstories for taking a chance on this idea and helping and supporting many talented black woman in the process and putting us center stage .

Paused II - A Love Letter To Dublin At Night

This documentary piece, filmed in The Big Romance, one of the many spaces that has had to close its doors for nearly a year is a kaleidoscopic view of Dublin's nightlife culture.

Curated by The Big Romance & Homebeat, with performances from Sunil Sharpe, R. Kitt and music from Dreamcycles, ‘A Celebration of Irish Nightlife’ takes us on a trip around Dublin city as we hear from those affected by lockdown as they look ahead to returning to dance floors soon. It's a celebration of the music that moves so many dancefloors all over the country.

We'll hear from many people throughout the industry to get their thoughts. What will be left of nightlife when things reopen? How much will change? And what can we do to make this an experience for the better?

Dublin is a thriving city late at night, we hope this piece captures what is possible when we can dance again.
